
"When I started Pilates two years ago, I thought the goal I had set was realistic. At age 75, all I wanted was to keep my body somewhat flexible and to build up enough body strength to help prevent injury if I should fall. I have always exercised, but I have watched my body deteriorate over the years.
It appears that I seriously underestimated the power of Pilates. I have seen my posture and strength improve…as I look in the mirror, I no longer see a dowager's hump; my tummy and buns are firmer. My previously slumped shoulders have become square and relaxed, and my arms and legs are gaining strength and muscular definition.
With this new image I feel much younger. I am looking forward to a future that is bright and full of adventure; thanks to Bamboo in Coronado. " - Sheila
"You are never too old for Pilates! Working with a well trained instructor like Julie on the excellent Stott equipment can make positive changes in body patterns that need changing. Learning the importance of correct breathing while doing the exercises; and focusing on Julie's clear instructions and gentle reminders can challenge your memory and be more beneficial and fun than doing crossword puzzles. "Sarah
Gereghty is the rarest of instructors-she leads me way beyond
where I even could imagine in pilates. She has this ability
to make Bill, Sue and I somehow want to please her and put
our bodies through a lot. I never thought that I would
try so hard. When I am coasting, Sarah knows it, and, with
her good humor, gets me going again. Sarah is really the
8th wonder of the world! She is so full of enthusiasm for
pilates and ballet and that enthusiasm cannot help but rub
off. I just wish everyone could have her teach them. I
really feel so much better with the workout she has given
me over the past year. Now if only I would do her "home
exercise" program. That will be something to strive for.

me to go so much further than I ever could have with anyone
else. She is tough but supportive in her teaching. "
